The Monroe Youth Center (MYC) is a free after school program created with the intention of providing a safe and structured environment for Monroe Middle School students to help develop their social, emotional and cognitive skills while also having fun, forming friendships and cultivating leaders.

We offer daily themes for the kids and help with homework. The kids don't have to participate in the activity that we have planned. But we do encourage them to try. Below is the list of themes we do each week:

Monday is "Monday Movie and Popcorn"- we watch movies that the kids vote on and get to have popcorn for the snack.

Tuesday is "Creative Tuesday"- we do crafts and art projects.

Wednesday is "Game on Wednesday"- we focus on playing games that can help build their social skills and learn how to get along with others.

Thursday is "let's get fit day"- we have yoga on the first Thursday of the month and do other fitness on the other Thursday of the month.

Friday is "Fun Friday"- We will let the youth pick out an activity that we all can do.
